WHAT
ARE THE BENEFITS OF CONVERTING
Due
to the high, and ever increasing, cost of petrol, LPG is a safe,
reliable, environmentally friendly and cost effective fuel. There
is virtually no detriment to the performance and/or economy of the vehicle
and substantial savings on fuel costs are obtained as LPG is some
40% cheaper than petrol, the conversion cost being recovered after
approximately 30 000 kms for an average motor vehicle.
A
common problem for fleet owners is that of petrol theft which
accounts for approximately 20% of the fuel bills for fleets. This
is usually caused by employees filling private vehicles on the
company's account, often in collusion with the petrol stations, or
by siphoning petrol out of the fuel tanks in quantities of a few
litres at a time which generally would go unnoticed by the fleet
managers. LPG can not be
siphoned and therefore eliminates fuel theft. By converting to
the LPG Autogas system an additional saving of some 20% is
realistically achievable.
LPG
is furthermore a cleaner burning fuel than petrol with less build
up of hydrocarbons, a 90% reduction in carcinogens, less
acidification and lower exhaust emissions, all combining to
produce less wear and tear on the engine and a safer and cleaner
environment.

concerns
- Tank
is made from 4mm steel
- Can
withstand 3 Ton direct impact
- 10
times stronger than metal or plastic petrol tanks
- Not
flammable in liquid state
- Release
